چکیده
ABSTRACT. Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is one of the widespread genetically determined diseases myocardium, which accompanied by development diastolic and, subsequently, systolic dysfunction myocardium. The aim our study was to evaluate clinical and instrumental features patients with hypertrophic impaired left ventricular global longitudinal strain (GLS) its prognostic value for cardiovascular events in Ukrainian population cardiomyopathy. Materials methods. data 35 who underwent a comprehensive examination determination absolute on speckle-tracking echocardiography were retrospectively analyzed. divided into two groups: Group I (GLS< 14.5) II (GLS≥ 14.5). Results. A decrease associated longer disease duration (8 (5-11) vs 3 (2-5) years, p=0.003), increasing complaints irregularity heart beat (66.7% 23.5%, p= 0.018) weakness (61.1% p=0.04), increased blood pressure (SBP) (130 (120-140) 110 (100-120) mm Hg, 0.009), absence without signs failure (0 29.4%, p=0.019), an increase IVRT (106.19±28.62 84.57±27.54 ms, p=0.044) greater number extrasystoles (17 (4-69) 2 (0.5-3), p=0.014). According Kaplan-Meier analysis survival relation fatal non-fatal or their combination hospitalization failure, they had significantly worse rates (Log-Rank, p=0.016 p=0.003). Conclusions. poor scores characterized unfavorable prognosis.

Incremental Prognostic Utility of Left Ventricular Global Longitudinal Strain in Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy Patients and Preserved Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction
BACKGROUND In obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients with preserved left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction, we sought to determine whether LV global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) provided incremental prognostic utility. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 1019 patients with documented hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (mean age, 50±12 years; 63% men) evaluated at our center between 2001 and 20...
متن کاملGlobal Longitudinal Strain and Left Atrial Volume Index Provide Incremental Prognostic Value in Patients With Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
BACKGROUND Current methods for predicting adverse events in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy are still limited. Left ventricular global longitudinal strain (GLS) and left atrial volume index (LAVI) have been recently proposed as novel prognostic factors in several cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of GLS and LAVI in patients with ...
متن کاملThe prognostic value of left ventricular global peak systolic longitudinal strain in chronic peritoneal dialysis patients
BACKGROUND Although left ventricular (LV) global systolic longitudinal strain (GLS) reliably and accurately assesses LV systolic function and is also a powerful prognostic predictor, the importance and prognostic value of GLS in end-stage renal disease patients receiving maintenance peritoneal dialysis (PD) remain unclear. This study sought to determine the prognostic value of GLS in chronic PD...

AIMS We sought to assess the indexes of myocardial activation delay, using Doppler myocardial imaging (DMI), as potential predictors of cardiac events in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The distribution and magnitude of left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy are not uniform in patients with HCM, which results in heterogeneity of regional LV systolic function. METHODS AND RESULTS T...
متن کاملIncremental prognostic value of left ventricular global longitudinal strain in patients with aortic stenosis and preserved ejection fraction.
BACKGROUND We sought to assess the utility of left ventricular global longitudinal strain (LV-GLS) in predicting mortality in moderate to severe and paradoxical severe aortic stenosis (AS) patients with preserved ejection fraction. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 395 AS patients (70 ± 14 years, 57% men) with aortic valve area <1.3 cm(2) evaluated between January to June 2008 (excluding severe ...
